MONDAYS

Volleyball (2nd-6th)

Our volleyball program is a perfect intro to one of the fastest growing sports in the area. We will work on fundamentals through play, keeping each day fun with games and drills that build strength and confidence, as well as learn about proper rotations and spatial awareness. Our goal is to get each player the most touches possible each day to ensure noticeable improvement and constant engagement. This program is for beginners as well as experienced players, and by the end of the session we hope to be able to play out competitive points. Everyone will have a blast with this great game!

 

Robots on the Move (K-5th)

Our teams will use visual programming to control their robot and virtual robot to learn about sequences, loops, conditionals, functions, variables, problem-solving, and more. The teams are challenged to use their skills, creativity, and collaboration to conquer coding challenges. Coaches will follow the team member's’ progress in real-time and offer individualized programming techniques to help them advance to the next level. 

ATTN Families: Please request an Opt-Out Media Release Form if you do not want your child to be included in pictures/video taken by LOTTA Tech staff, students, outside photographer including commercial photographers and the media, nor want your child included in any memory book, advertising video/picture media, or any other medium.

 

Messes & Masterpieces Classes! (K-6th)

What’s one thing all great artists have in common? They make a mess, of course! In this class, we’ll create stunning masterpieces while using some of the coolest, messiest art techniques ever. From Frida Kahlo, Picasso, Salvador Dali and more, each messy masterpiece will be inspired by a different master artist. Kids, you better roll up your sleeves, because no masterpiece was ever made without first making a mess!



TUESDAYS

Med School for Kids (K-6th)

All kids love to dress up and play doctor. Come role play, work with models, develop skills, draw, think critically and creatively, and most importantly, learn about being a doctor. Become engaged and discover how to use common doctor’s tools, learn how the brain, heart, lungs, and other organs work. Not only will you practice using doctor tools, but you will also be able to take some of them home with you!

 

Early Spanish Adventures (K-6th)

ISL offers a comprehensive Spanish program for children in grades K-2, suitable for both beginners and those looking to expand their existing knowledge. Session Structure: Our classes start by learning and reviewing our foundation topics to ensure a solid foundation. Some of these topics are: Greetings, the alphabet, numbers, colors, days of the week, months, and many more. Each session introduces two core topics, explored in-depth throughout the session. The two core topics vary each session, ensuring your child never repeats the same material. We focus on expanding vocabulary, forming sentences, and encouraging active use of the language. Examples of rotating core topics: Animals, food, the house, verbs, body parts, clothes, professions, the city, and many more. Program Highlights: Every student receives handouts to use in class and at home. Small class sizes, led by native-speaking, experienced teachers, create an engaging and motivating environment. Diverse learning styles are catered to through: Conversation, music, flashcards, reading and writing, games, art, and storybooks. Every two weeks, parents receive an email update from the teacher detailing class activities and providing suggestions for at-home reinforcement, helping to solidify the lessons learned in class.



WEDNESDAYS

Baroody Bakes (1st-5th)

There's never a time to say no to fresh baked breads and pastries. Each day, children will get a chance to create a yummy treat from pies to loaves of bread, cupcakes and biscuits. There is SURE to be something they find irresistible.

 

Zumba (K-5th)

Kids in Motion Zumba class is a high energy, contagiously exciting dance fitness workout specifically designed for children. Classes are designed with kid friendly music, movements, and routines. In addition to a dance workout, they will also play games such as freeze dance, dancing 4 corners, limbo, center star, follow the leader, balloon games, limbo, and many more. Zumba for Kids is a perfect fit for children and it creates an environment of excitement around being healthy and active! This class helps children make friends, get active after school, and love dance fitness. 

 

Dynamic Drum (K-5th)

Students will participate in a music group. Students will learn about the instrument as well as how to play in a music group.   

FREE Rental instrument and curriculum included!  Instruments and music are intended for in class AND at home practice.  Rental Instrument must be returned at the last class.



THURSDAYS

LEGO®: Pokémon Engineering (K-3rd)

Calling all Pokémon trainers! With the Pokémon Championship approaching, join our enthusiastic Play-Well Instructors as we build and catch our favorite Pokémon, rescue Pikachu from Team Rocket, take a ride on the S.S. Anne to uncover rare and mystic Pokémon, and battle to see who will hold the title of Pokémon Master. Come along on our journey to catch 'em all!!

 

Chess (K-6th)

Learn chess with Magnus Academy (formerly Silver Knights), world champion Magnus Carlsen’s academy!  We’ve taught 100,000 children to play including state and national champions, but most students are beginners looking to learn a new skill and have FUN. Class time is divided between lessons and practice games.  Lessons range from the basic rules to advanced tournament strategies. Students will have the opportunity to play in tournaments (in-person and online) outside of club time.  This in-person club includes free online extras including weekly practice tournaments and an event with world champion Magnus Carlsen or Judit Polgar, the best female chess player of all time.  All chess supplies provided. FRIDAYS

Elementary Mandarin (K-6th)

ISL provides a well-rounded Mandarin program for those children in grades K-2 that are either starting to learn Mandarin or would like to continue adding to their knowledge of Mandarin. Apart from the language, children will learn some culture and traditions where Mandarin is spoken. During this program, students will be introduced to greetings and presentations, the characters, the family, the school, numbers, colors, shapes, sizes, animals, parts of the body and senses, professions, places in the city and many more! Topics rotate each session; therefore, students who register for later sessions will learn something different each time. Each student will receive handouts that they will be able to use in class and at home! Class sizes are small and taught by native speakers who are experienced teachers of the language and culture, engaging, fun and motivating. Students' diverse learning modalities are addressed through the following: Conversation, Music, Flashcards, Games, Videos, Art, and Storybooks. Instructors use every moment as an opportunity to motivate students to use and practice their speaking skills. During each program, we introduce a series of games and activities that develop the skills needed to learn a second language in a consistent and sequential manner. After every class, parents receive an email from their teacher that includes what was done in class and if there is any homework for the week. This email also includes any ideas to use at home with your child in order to solidify what they are learning in class.

 

Cheer Stars (K-6th)

Our ADF Cheer class is designed to introduce students to the exciting world of cheerleading! We will work on motion and jump technique, stunting, cheer dances and more! Our Cheer Coaches are current and former college and professional level cheerleaders with a passion to teach! Class will focus on exercises to improve strength, showmanship and execution technique in a positive, team environment. We will conclude with a showcase for parents and friends at the end of the session!
